- The `D' (Data) gadget can be used in conjunction with the raw sysex
- file display to define the first and last characters of the Data
- portion of the sysex file.
-
- Click the left mouse button while pointing over the `D' gadget. The
- pointer will change and the prompt "Data START ==>" will appear.
- The program is waiting for you to highlight the first character of
- the Data portion of the sysex file. Remember, the file displaying in
- the window will more than likely start with some header information
- that is NOT part of the actual sysex data! Refer to your synth's MIDI
- implementation charts for more information.
-
- Hold down the left mouse button while you are pointing over the sysex
- file. As you move the mouse, the current offset will display. Release
- the mouse button when you are over the first character of the Data
- portion of the sysex file.
-
- The prompt "Data STOP ==>" will appear. The program is waiting for you
- to highlight the last character of the Data portion of the file. Sysex
- files usually have a trailer that is not considered part of the sysex
- data. So once again, refer to your synth's MIDI implementation charts!
-
- The `Ch', `N1', `N2' and `Ck' gadgets allow you to highlight different
- components of the sysex data. Once highlighted, you can click on the
- various `Question Marks' located in the window. Each time you click
- on a `Question Mark', its associated string gadgets will be updated
- with offsets and counts based on the highlighted fields.
